On the last episode, the survivors had extra time to get to know each other before their first challenge. Parrot and Tucan embraced the opportunity and formed friendships early, while the majority of Macaw patiently waited for the challenge.
It paid off for Macaw when they took the lead and won the first Immunity, sending both Parrot and Tucan to Tribal Council. As a reward, Macaw could bestow individual immunity to one person on each tribe. They chose Erin from Parrot and Emma from Tucan.
MattG from Macaw received a bonus immunity, as he solved the riddle the fastest. Will he be able to keep it a secret, or will loose lips cause him to lose it?
Macaw…
Mag and MattG…
MattG: Hey Mag, WHats up?
Mag: HEY!
Mag: just practicing some logic puzzles for our next IC!
MattG: me too...I'm not gonna lie....HARD
Mag: LOL ME TOO! I just posted about it
Mag: my brain is ready or fried
MattG: maybe not hard....just confusing.
Mag: not sure which
MattG: the charts and what not
Mag: yeah.... i have done about 10 now
MattG: yeah I picked up some grid paper today, that always helps
MattG: I think we'll do just fine
Mag: lmao! i think so too
MattG: so surprised at Matt and Sara eh?
Mag: Yeah a bit!
Mag: But... it is what it is, I suppose.
Mag: THANK GOD we won
MattG: yeah, but I think that just means we picked good people to give immunity I suppose
MattG: from what I heard, Erin would have went for sure if we didnt give her immunity
Mag: they have to HATE us
MattG: haha, oh well, we keep winning it doesen't matter much...at least until some sort of shuffle/merge
Mag: i would love to win this next one
MattG: yeah me too, especially because we're actually practicing
MattG: but especially after seeing the tribe in action, and talking to everyone, I'm pretty darn confident, we all seem clever
Mag: I think so too..... .I was so amazed by how quickly you all found those bananas
MattG: yeah, thankfully I dont think the other tribes had much time to organize, and we had a system
Mag: i was writing them down so fast
Mag: i was like?!?
MattG: hahaha, well you obviously relayed them pretty darn fast, by the time I had read them in our chat we had already won
Mag: yeah i typed them out as soon as we had 5 -- and then added in the last 3 and hit send!
MattG: well it'll be your time to really shine tomorrow I think
MattG: because I havent practiced as many as 10, thats for sure
Mag: I hope we ALL shine lol
Mag: i actually like these sort of things....
Mag: dork i know
MattG: haha, true enough. I like them too, I've always been a logic dork, always like brain teasers and things of the such
Mag: hopefully our 'old age' lol combind will help win
MattG: haha, yes! we gotta be like...hmmmm 175 years old
Mag: LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Mag: and if we did it in DOG YRS??
MattG: hahaha, thats gotta be like... a million
MattG: granted my logic skills are better than my math
MattG confesses…
The main point of this conversation...THESE LOGIC PUZZLES ARE HARD. I just finished my first one, and I think it took me an hour. I have a feeling that's simply not going to be good enough. I also have a feeling I'll be doing them at work tomorrow. As for Mag, I like her, she's really nice but there's not that "connection" type thing, where you completely trust the person...lukcily I dont think anyone in our tribe is making connections like those. But I'm happy with where the tribe is frankly, we all get along, and that's what matters.
MattG and Morris…
MattG: So ok, would it make sense to continue this BFF into our survivor game? frankly I wouldnt feel comfortable voting for you anyways, but as a "just in case" measure
Morris: um, i like that idea a lot. We'll be jungle fever BFFs as well, totally, I wouldn't even consider voting for you anyway
MattG: yeah, I mean, I don't even like the whole alliance idea, but I'm not naive enough to think I won't need at least that 1 person I can count on, and I'd definitely feel most comfortable if it was you frankly
Morris: i like that idea a lot. I'm glad you asked, i was thinking about it, but I am weird about asking for 'alliances' or whatever, i have a theory that if i were to ask someone they'd just say yes out of fear or something that them saying no would make me hate them
Morris: it's silly, i know, but i'm glad you asked, HAHA, because i wanted to say the same thing pretty much
MattG: haha, it seriously is like asking a girl out on a date
MattG: because most of the time you know you both want it, but it's the fear of rejection
MattG: or saying yes out of guilt
MattG: oh the parallels
Morris: they were ingenious
MattG: but yeah, it's that first alliance that's the toughest i think, because you don't want to ask too early, otherwise it comes off that you're a schemer, don't want to ask too many or word gets around. I figure you start with one and move out from there, but I am happy now. Let's just hope I love you Tina! You're the greatest host in the world! doesent scramble everything now
Morris: yeah seriously!
Morris: haha, but i know what you mean, we can branch out if we need to, but my allegiance is to you first and formost
MattG: but really, glad you feel the same because I certainly trust you more than anyone else, and I hope you know that you can expect the same from me...winning the game is important, but not important enough to make me totally switch sides somewhere down the line
MattG: plus I think any alliance you and me are in will have an upper hand
Morris: and us the upper hand in it i hope
MattG: ha, yes indeed. so now, obviously this wont happen right now, but if we were to branch out, within macaw, would it be laurie you'd pick?
Morris: i don't know, uh, i like laurie so yeah i guess. But I also don't know anyone else, HAHA, so it's kind of like, yes I'd pick Laurie for both those reasons (one of which is a reason of not talking to anyone else therefor meaning that i couldn't really pick anyone else, also that i over explain things, and am weird)
MattG: hahahaha, well I hope we dont have to yet thats for sure. I kinda have a feel for everyone I think and I would think Laurie will be the one taking it the most seriously. But again, we'll just leave it at "we'll cross that bridge when we come to it" because really, tribes will likely be jazzed up pretty darn soon. but if we do get separated, it will complicate things some
MattG: but moreso in a way where I'm sure we'll have to make other alliances if we're in other tribes for like 10 days, but when we merge, we help eachother out as much as we can, and if it means re-working an alliance then thats fine
MattG: one thing is for sure, and that is that I wont make a "final 2" type promise to anyone else
Morris: yeah, I hope we're not moved around all that soon, or at least that we wind up in managable situations, and yeah when we got back together at a merge I'd still want to be with you (well that sounds queer) again and will figure out what to do about the people i sold my soul to stay alive on that other tribe when we have to and um...instead of an alliance, can we just say we are Ka-tet
MattG confesses…
Well after tonight I am relieved. From day 1 myself and Morris had a lot in common, and now we're formally "allies". It's so tough to find a friend you can count on in this game, and I'm glad I did. We have a very good understanding too, as long as we're in the same tribe, we're allies, and if we're not, we're free to stay alive however we please, then if we can help eachother after a merge, then all the better. I really do trust Morris completely, and he should trust me. I really want to win this game, but in no way will I ever lie to him, I'll do what it takes to get us to the final 2. It obviously doesent hurt things that I have the individual immunity idol either, I just wish I could tell him ARGH, he he. But it could definitely help us, if theres ever what we think will be a tie vote, or a 4 vs 3 alliance or something, i can just be an annoying cocky loser to make people vote for me, knowing that we can even things up with that happening. Lots of scenarios where it can turn the whole game around so that's really exciting. Anyways...whew....definitely my most exciting night in the game thus far, with hopefully more to come.
Morris and Laurie…
Morris : oh crap, is our next immunity challenge tomorrow
Morris : this just dawned on me
Laurie : yes, 8 p.m. tomorrow
Morris : CRAP
Laurie : why you can't make it?
Morris : i've had plans for like weeks, my best friend's band is playing at the CBGBs singer songwriter show tomorrow night
Laurie : ah wow
Laurie : well, I'm sure the tribe will understand if you say you have a commitment you can't get out of
Morris : yeah, i just posted
Morris : i'm hoping it's not going to be an issue
Morris : and hopefully we'll get to sit someone out anyway
Laurie : well, Sam didn't come for the 1st challenge, so I think your'e safe
Laurie : yeah we should so you're probably in good shape
Morris : phew, i hope so
Laurie :
Morris :i wouldn't want to hang you guys out
Laurie : I have a feeling we'll be just fine - I'm pretty good at those logic things, but I have to take my time with them ya know?
Morris : so what, you're saying i'm stupid
Morris : nice
Morris : real nice
Laurie : not at all! sheesh! =-O
Morris : haha, i'm only pretending to be a drama queen
Morris : i swear
Laurie : yeah i figured, biznitch
Morris : HAHAHA
Laurie : ya liked that eh?
Morris : i did
Morris : a lot
Laurie :good I aim to entertain ya know
Morris : so do i
Morris :you do a good job of it i must say
Laurie : well, I'm an old woman, I've been at it a bit longer
Morris : haha, you're not 'old' cut that jive sistah
Laurie : haha - well, no not like George Burns old....but I've got more than a few years on you
Morris : that just means you're better than me
Morris : (that's right, lay it on thick morris old buddy)
Morris confesses…
I talked to Laurie and to Matt, as you can see. I really like Matt, he's nice, and we seem to like...um...all the same exact things. So yeah, I'm all up on that. In other news Matt (the other Matt) got voted out. Oops. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, after he said that I half expected the other one voted out to be Karen! I think he may be a little mad at me, what with kind of suggesting to give the immunity to the ones that didn't show up...but...well...come on it's kind of funny. The boy isn't really mad, he loves me!
Mag and Laurie…
Laurie: hey Mag - ready for tonight?
Mag: Hey! yes i am! LOL i was practicing last night
Laurie: I saw that! Well, I do those things for fun sometimes, so I think we'll be in good shape again
Mag: that would be great, wouldnt it
Laurie: oh yeah - we did so great the first time!
Laurie: I really like our tribe, everyone seems really cool so far
Mag: I thought so too1
Mag: Although i havent talked to Sam at all
Laurie: no I haven't either, said hi a few times and got nothing. We tried to invite her to the group chat the other night but she didn't make it.....
Mag: i havent really seen her on much when i am on
Laurie: no not much at all
Laurie: well, I hate to say it............ but if we were to come to a vote anytime soon........ ya know?
Mag: sorry.... you are ABSOLUTELY on the same wavelenght as me
Laurie, MattG, Alan and Samantha strategize before the immunity challenge…
MattG: so, am I the only one that had a tiny bit of trouble with these puzzles?
Laurie: oh none of them are like EASY - there'sjust tricks to them is all

Laurie: LOL yeah it could be
MattG: agreed. yeah I sure hope it's not some trick
MattG: I think we've got a pretty nice little tribe here
Laurie: I agree
Alan: Well yeah except for MattG of course. Otherwise we rock
Alan: er he's not here right?
MattG: yeah, that guy brings us down
MattG: what a loser
Laurie: i hope that bastard doesn't come and ruin it for us
MattG: he's a big jerk, and his big stupid face is as dumb as a butt
Alan: I belive they have a Matt zone all prepared in the booted camp
MattG: so I...I mean he can join the other Matt
Samantha: im here!!
Samantha: Hi guys
Parrot…
Ricky confesses…
So our plan worked. We threw the Immunity Challenge. Now why in hell would some one do that? Its called knowing where you stand. For me, if I was the last person standing on this tribe; my mouth does wonders, I can talk anyone into doing -anything-. I’m very believable. This tribe was my first victim. I told them if we threw the challenge, we will be fine, if we vote out Matt. Matt is probably one of three strongest players in this game. With myself and Alan. I can’t get Alan out yet; I will, but not yet…but Matt is easy. He is mowed grass and I’m beginning to smell it.
Jenn and Shawn have been great allies; I can’t say the same for Erin cause she’s not around much, but my strategy for her is simple. Make her think I’m keeping her in the game. When she gets around to being more active in our tribe, I’m planning on making her think I’ve been her savior for the first three rounds.
Jack doesn’t seem to have any idea that we threw the challenge; that is a good thing I think.
Shawn confesses…
Well, Matt is gone. It was basically unanimous. Sad to see him go, he was a good guy. He just got screwed because he knew people in the game. Never EVER give anyone a reason EVER to vote you out.
Tucan…
Luke confesses…
That was a pretty intense Council. I don't think anyone is going to understand how hard it was ... all six of us were uber active, we all wanted to win this game, and we were all giving 110%. Sara threw her vote my way, which I wasn't too surprised about. I had a feeling she was trying to get my out, considering it was I who pretty much orchestrated her exit.
But I had to. Karen and her being together was too iffy for me, and I didn't want her to get by on her whole 'I'm new, it's my first game!' thing. I know she would stab me in the back at any given moment, she had no loyalty to me or to Tucan. She would have swapped sides if it would give her the advantage in a second.
I'm glad no one else voted for me. I'm wondering if Karen would have, if the numbers were there ... I have a feeling she would have. We hit it off pretty early, but I think she got really annoyed when I was trying to take out Sara.
We'll see how the next few days progress. I have several options ... the four who originally wanted Sara gone (Me, Alex, Aaron & Emma) could vote out Karen, or I could team up with Karen and Alex and take out one of Emma and Aaron.
Apparently Sara wanted an alliance with me, Alex, Karen and herself last round. I clearly did not want Sara to get any further then she could, because of her whole innocent act, but I wouldn't mind me & Karen & Alex working together.
We'll see what goes down this round. I still would like to see Emma go, I feel she is the one who would jump ship on me the fastest.
Aaron confesses…
Two down.. fourteen to go? Meh, my math is off. My position in the tribe is a lot more insecure then I would like, but it's also a lot better then I think. I think that I'm getting along with more then enough people to solidify my name not being mentioned much when we go to TC, but I'm in no means in control of the group as a whole.
As far as people go, I think Alex is a bit of a flake. I'm not sure what he's trying to put out, but he's kinda trying to act the role of a naive kid and it bugs me a bit. Karen is nice and sociable and I think she'll make it far in the game. Luke is a bit weird - I don't know what type of strategy he's playing.. .. Oh, and Emma's a pretty cool chick, too.
